On the United States:
  • $990.3 billion in direct travel-related expenditures
  • $157.8 billion in federal, state and local tax revenue
  • 15.3 million jobs supported by travel expenditures (8.6 million directly and 6.7 million in other industries)

On the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA:

  • $23.7 billion in direct travel-related expenditures
  • $1.7 billion in federal, state and local tax revenue
  • 229,300 jobs and $5.6 billion in salaries
On the Coastal Virginia Region:
  • $4.9 billion in direct travel-related expenditures
  • $407 million in state and local tax revenue
  • 47,315 jobs and $1.01 billion in salaries
On the City of Virginia Beach:
  • $1.49 billion in direct travel-related expenditures
  • $4.1 million on average spent per day
  • $132.1 million in state and local tax revenue
